      A chance to hear a unique collaboration between Juxtavoices (Martin Archer & Alan Halsey’s 36 voice experimental music antichoir) and electronic musicians from University of Sheffield Music Department under the direction of Prof. Adrian Moore.

      Each group will perform a short separate set before finishing with a jointly realised version of Guardian Weekend Remix, a new piece by Martin Archer based on a visual score by Michael Szpakowski.

      Inclusion Principle

      Martin Archer – laptop, sopranino saxophone

      Herve Perez – laptop, soprano saxophone

      With

      Steve Chase – strings and miscellaneous instruments.

      This long standing duo covers minimal laptop improvisation, nu jazz with beats, and points between.  Carefully evolving soundscapes transform gradually into drivingly intense beats.  The addition of chase to the evening’s line up brings in an element of profound unpredictability.

      Free improvisation trio packed with detail and creativity from these fine Manchester based musicians.
